Description
LASER TREATMENT FOR TOENAIL FUNGUS
Toenail fungus (onychomycosis) affects the toenails far more frequently than the fingernails — up to four times more often.
Laser treatment is currently considered one of the most effective methods for treating fungal nail infections, with success rates of up to 90%, significantly outperforming many over-the-counter creams, solutions, and home treatment methods.
The laser energy targets the fungal infection within the nail and nail bed while preserving the surrounding healthy tissue.
A key advantage of this technology is its ability to provide exceptionally precise temperature control throughout the treatment, ensuring both safety and effectiveness.

BENEFITS OF COOLBREEZE LASER TREATMENT FOR NAIL FUNGUS
-
The treatment is quick – treating all toenails on both feet takes approximately 15 minutes.
-
The number of treatment sessions required is individual and depends on the extent of the fungal infection and the degree of nail bed damage.
-
No need for long-term application of creams or topical products with uncertain results.
-
No need for oral antifungal medications, which may often cause unwanted side effects.
-
Laser treatment helps improve the overall appearance and condition of the affected nails.
HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
During the procedure, the nail and nail bed are treated with a 1320 nm wavelength laser.
The laser gently heats the treated tissue to a temperature between 45°C and 60°C, effectively targeting and destroying the fungal infection. During treatment, patients typically experience a sensation of warmth or mild burning.
As part of the procedure, all toenails are treated regardless of whether they show visible signs of infection. This approach helps reduce the risk of spreading the infection to healthy nails during the course of treatment.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT PROTOCOL
For optimal effectiveness, a series of at least six consecutive treatment sessions is recommended, performed at 14-day intervals.
In cases of severe or long-standing fungal infections with significant nail bed involvement, additional treatment sessions may be necessary. Treatment may be continued until the infection has fully resolved and healthy nail growth is restored.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before starting laser treatment for onychomycosis, patients must inform the medical staff about all medications, supplements, and ongoing treatments they are currently using.
Certain medications or medical therapies may represent a contraindication to CoolBreeze laser treatment and should be assessed prior to the procedure.
